This year in recognition of WRWA’s 35 years, the Board of Directors is again hosting a full day of River Day festivities on Saturday, June 9th from 9am-3pm at the Head of Westport Landing. Activities are numerous and offer fun for all ages. River Day 2012 expects to draw many visitors who will learn first hand why the Westport River is a special resource for current and future generations. Mission Statement
The goals of the Westport River Watershed Alliance are to:
- promote the environmental integrity of the watershed and its coastal environs.
- to advocate the wise use and preservation of natural resources in the watershed for the aesthetic, recreational, and economic benefit of the citizens of the area.
- to educate the general public about the interrelationship of our waters, soils, plants, animals, and people.
