This evocative painting is an impressionistic view of the red cedars in the Meyer/McCaffery field on the Westport River. Ben Shattuck is an up-and-coming local artist who just graduated from Cornell. He is exhibiting this summer at the New Bedford Art Museum and will be "artist in residence" at The Rocky Neck Art Colony in Gloucester, Mass, America's oldest working art colony.
